hello everyone, Twig here for the first time in quite some time, there has just been a lot to handle recently given the change in the state of the world and the places around me, so I have had just too much on my plate to really be on here lately. However, I still want to spend some here to talk as I don’t want to lose my blog quite yet. With so much chaos and fear going on in your world, I think responding to Naive Health Lady Lu’s post would be a little more refreshing to those reading here. Her topic on taxing plastic bags is a good idea for New York, as it is very true that people are wasteful with a material that is so hurtful to the animals both here and in ocean. But also it is strange how they did not make this choice sooner, or make it more strict on the use of the bags, but better late than never. I understand law and the politics behind them is very complicated, as I still can’t seem to figure very well at all how your governments are formed and how you choose the people to represent you, but even so can’t everyone agree that hurting the environment is generally a bad idea?
Maybe that is just it though, humans do not seem to even have the ability to do that. It is only the second state in your country to even pass it out of fifty, at least by what Lady Lu says, and that to me is something that should be everywhere at least, and it would be better to just get rid of them completely. I have to say I do not really have any need for bags at all, as I eat my food as I catch it, and I only move logs around my cave, but I feel that the cost of making them is just too high for the world. But to move on to a solution, i can see why alternatives are hard to come by. The recycled bags do seem best though, because if the plastic never goes away, you might as well just keep on reusing the stuff you already made forever instead of just letting go into streams and rivers. Sure it may cost a little more right now, but I think it will save a lot in the long run.
Losing life is always a terrible sight, and when it can be prevented by easy choices that you can make, to me it seems like an obvious answer. I have lost enough already, and I fear I may actually be alone in your planet, so why would I want others to suffer the way I have for so long? I think it would be nice to save turtles and fish from the same fate, but what do I know, I don’t run the world, that is your job, but at the very least, please continue to make an effort to save the natural environment around you, because I think it is one of the few things that will always have your back.
